NUCxyme™ - Manual
Serratia marcescens Nuclease is a sequence-independent endonuclease with extraordinarily high specific activity. It can completely digest all forms of DNA and RNA (single-stranded, double-stranded, linear, and circular) and produce 5' monophosphate-terminated oligonucleotides of 3-5 bases in length. It is protease and endotoxin-free and extremely useful in bioprocessing applications requiring DNA and/or RNA removal from cellular extracts.
Serratia marcescens nuclease is recombinantly produced in the yeast Komagataella. phaffii to minimize the presence of contaminating nucleases and proteases while eliminating potential pathogens associated with animal-derived materials. This enzyme acts as a non-mammalian source of DNase and RNase for various bioprocessing applications designed to remove nucleic acids and lower the viscosity of cellular extracts.
