Worthington Announces Sponsorship of American Physiological Society (APS) Technical Webinar and Educational Partnership

LAKEWOOD, NJ (December 5, 2024) – Worthington announced today a sponsorship and partnership with the American Physiological Society during a new educational webinar, “Using Enzymes to Digest Muscle and Cardiac Tissue Models.”

This live and on-demand webinar features Alis Balayan and Tom Molley, PhD, who will present their research focused on muscle regeneration and cardiac model systems. “We are honored to have Balayan and Molley explain their research findings on isolation and characterization of human skeletal muscle stem cells,” said James Zacka, vice president at Worthington. “This educational program further supports our commitment to assist researchers with specific tips on how to best optimize dissociation protocols.”

Webinar participants will learn methods to optimize and isolate multiple cell populations, how to digest stem-cell derived cardiac organoid tissues and downstream characterization and functional applications for isolated skeletal muscle and cardiac cells.
